So it’s come down to this: Friendly’s Restaurant seems to be playing a serious game of oneupsmanship with KFC by creating this Grilled Cheese BurgerMelt, which is even worse for you than the Double Down. I thought I’d pulled off the ultimate bad-for-you parody with the Quadruple Down, but it looks like Friendly’s has got the upper hand… for now.


A ridiculously delicious experiment is taking place over at
Not a dinner roll. Not a hamburger bun. Nope. Those are grilled portobello mushrooms divided by turkey and Swiss. Chives on top add a touch of class.
Meet the Southern-most Insanewich on Earth. It’s the Monster Burger from Bluff, the town at the very bottom of the South Island of New Zealand. It contains two beef patties, lettuce, several layers of cheese, bacon AND a steak. It does not use meat as bread, but probably should.
Look at these itsy-bitsy burgers sitting atop frosted cookies. The buns are Nilla Wafers and the patties are Keebler Grasshoppers. The cheese is made from flattened Starbursts and squeeze gel was used for the ketchup and mustard. Colored coconut lettuce garnishes these sweet little sliders.
